Year 11 Snow Trip

The Year 11 Snow Trip is a highly valued excursion within the education provided by Lambton High School. The excursion takes students to the Snow Mountains Region in Australia. It is a very small area of the continent and most students from the Hunter Region first experience “the snow” as part of a school excursion. Educationally the excursion fulfils a number of important elements within the wider curriculum offered by Lambton High School. These include school sport, outdoor, environmental, physical and personal development education. A Study Skills component and visit to Snowy Hydro is also completed during this time.

Itenerary:

Monday 15 July 11:15am – Departure from Lambton High School

Tuesday 16 July to Thursday 18th July – Ski each day at Perisher Ski Resort

Friday 19 July – Visit Snowy Hydro en route to return to Lambton High School ~5:30pm

Evening activities include Study Skills and Personal Development activities.

Students not attending the snow trip attend school for a Study Skills and Sporting activity on Thursday 18 July. They are not required to attend school on other days.
