e3 Placement Test

The e3 class: engage, enrich and extend, is designed to cater for students who perform at a high academic level and are highly motivated and keen to extend themselves in their learning. It is a school-based initiative that in many schools might be labelled as a “Gifted and Talented” class.

The ICAS test will be held at Lambton High from 9.30am to 11.30am on 5 April 2016. Students should be at Lambton High MPC by 8.50am.  Parents may collect their student at 11.30am from the Multi-Purpose Centre.

A second test date is set on 6 April for those unable to attend on 5 April.

The General Achievement Test (GAT) is a 2 hour exam which has 3 parts:

  1. Mathematics (40 multiple choice questions)
  2. Reading & Language (40 multiple choice questions)
  3. Writing task (20 marks)

Students are required to bring:

  • 2B or B pencil
  • Ruler
  • Eraser

Students are not permitted to use:

  • Pen
  • Calculator
  • Dictionary or electronic translator
