Authentic Assessment

The Year 10 Authentic Assessment Program:

  • supports the curriculum by making it more relevant to the needs of the students
  • assesses key outcomes in a more authentic way
  • increases opportunities for students to reflect on the process of learning and to publicly present what they have learned about themselves as learners especially how they have made progress as  independent and reflective learners;
  • develops research, problem-solving, self-assessment, collecting, analysing and organization and communication skills
  • fosters community participation in the evaluation and assessment process.
